BIOGRAPHY
Born in Okayama, Japan, Saeko Miyasho began her musical studies at the age of four. She continued her education at Kyoto City University of Arts, where she earned her Bachelor of Music degree in piano in March 2013.
In October 2013, she entered the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Saint-Maur-des-Fossés, studying under Christine Fonlupt. She received her Diplôme d’Études Musicales in 2014, followed by the Premier Prix de Perfectionnement in 2015. She was awarded the highest distinction by unanimous decision of the jury, with special congratulations, and graduated at the top of her class.
In the same year, she entered the master’s program at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Lyon, where she studied under Hervé N’Kaoua and Thierry Rosbach. In 2017, she received her master’s degree with the highest distinction by unanimous decision of the jury, with special congratulations, graduating at the top of her class.
She has participated in masterclasses with distinguished pianists including Fabio Bidini, Jean-Marie Cottet and Jörg Demus, and has also received guidance from Bruno Rigutto.
With a keen interest in early music, she studied the harpsichord alongside her piano studies under Richard Siegel and Eloy Galarza at the CRR de Saint-Maur-des-Fossés, where she also received a Diplôme d’Études Musicales in harpsichord.
During her years in France, she appeared as a soloist with orchestra and performed extensively in solo recitals, chamber music concerts and music festivals. She also worked as a collaborative pianist with singers and instrumentalists.
She has received numerous prizes in international and national competitions. In 2017, she won First Prize at the Les Clés d’Or International Music Competition in the Île-de-France region. In 2018, she was awarded First Prize at both the Claude Kahn National Piano Competition in Paris and the Concours Musical de France.
Since returning to Japan, Saeko Miyasho has pursued a multifaceted career as a soloist, chamber musician and collaborative pianist. In addition to producing and performing in her own concert projects, she has developed artistic collaborations bringing music together with other forms of expression, including classical ballet.
